Renders of Samsung’s next flagship series, the Galaxy S23, were recently leaked, showing us the designs for all three models. However, this wasn’t the first Galaxy S23 leak, and it certainly won’t be the last.

We’ve heard rumors about some of the changes Samsung might bring to the table with the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, including an upgrade to the battery capacity of the non-Ultra models, and our friends at GalaxyClub have now revealed. Some accurate information about the same in their latest report.

At least one Galaxy S23 model could get a bigger battery than its predecessor
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S23+ will pack a 4,700mAh battery, which will be 100mAh bigger than the Galaxy S22+. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a 5,000mAh battery like the previous Galaxy S Ultra smartphone. Unfortunately, the battery capacity of the base Galaxy S23 model is still a mystery, although we can assume that the base model will get the same battery size bump as the Galaxy S23+.

GalaxyClub also says that Samsung will stick to the 12MP ultra-wide camera for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, and again, if we take an educated guess, the same is likely to be true for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Not that we’re surprised – Samsung will probably be putting all its attention on the big 200MP camera that’s expected to be mounted on the back of the S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 series is expected to be unveiled in early 2023. According to a recent rumour, Samsung may push the unveiling by three weeks earlier than the Galaxy S22 lineup, though the exact announcement date probably won’t be revealed by the company. At least a month or two.

We too will have to wait and see how Samsung is going to price the Galaxy S23 smartphone. Samsung’s 2022 foldable flagships are priced similarly to their predecessors in key markets, but given the current economic conditions, it might not be easy for the company to keep the price tag unchanged for its next flagship offerings.
